Elizabeth “Like” Lokon

Learn how Opening Minds though Art builds bridges across age and cognitive barriers through art. Bring your lunch and enjoy a presentation by master teaching artist Dr. Elizabeth “Like” Lokon, followed by a dessert reception.

During the session participants will have time to learn the benefits of engaging in the arts and explore this award-winning, evidence-based intergenerational art program for people with dementia. This “brown bag” session provides a unique opportunity to explore the  Opening Minds through Art (OMA) program founded at Scripps Gerontology Center at Miami University with the Master Teaching Artist who pioneered the program.
