Explore an orienting vision for research exploration and innovation in the field of creative aging with thought leader Nina Kraus, Director of the Auditory Neuroscience Lab, Professor of Communication Sciences, Neurophysiology & Biology, and Otolaryngology, Northwestern University.
Dr. Kraus will speak of her work exploring sound, a powerful force for communication. Healthy aging begins at birth. Our life in sound, be it making music or speaking more than one language, has a profound impact on the brain. Sound processing in the brain reflects our past and can predict our future communication abilities. Kraus will discuss the future of research on creative aging from a brain-science perspective.
- Participants will explore the field through the lens of a key thoughtleader in research.
- Participants will discover new horizons for research possibility and practice.
- Participants will be equipped to expand their own vision and trajectory for research in the field.
