Enhancing the intergenerational connections, memory, and quality of life for older adults, VoicingElder is a reminiscence storytelling platform with interactive avatars reflecting the speech, gestures, and histories of older adult users. Learn the perspectives of interdisciplinary administrators and program operations, including multimedia art production, evaluation, technology development, and funding strategy.

Presentation Outcomes

  • Participants will observe an evidence-based model for integrating and evaluating psychosocial, therapeutic interventions with innovative technology in senior care settings.
  • Participants will understand the program’s approach to research, multimedia art production, technology, digital anthropology, and funding.
  • Participants will contribute to discussions on perceptions of older adults, intergenerational relationships, and potential for development and application of VoicingElder.
